Houston. Jan. 5, 2021. The Italian Trade Agency, an Italian government agency that supports the business development of Italian companies abroad, has unveiled a digital hub to promote jewelry that is made in Italy. The new site is called Extra ITA Jewelry and is part of The Extraordinary Italian Jewelry Project, which debuted in 2015 to bolster Italian jewelry entrepreneurship and a stronger presence in the U.S.

Extra ITA Jewelry online is an interactive website and a tribute to the excellence of Italian craftsmanship. Viewers can tour Italy to see where traditions of craftsmanship and innovation originate, access export data, see the works of established brands and emerging talents, discover jewelry trends, and see industry news. The project also has a presence on social media.

The move comes as a result of the importance of the Italian jewelry export business, which is valued at $1.54 billion. Plus, the U.S. represents an 8.9% market share—the third largest market for Italian jewelry exports.
